is a 27-year-old multidisciplinary visual artist and designer. She was born in Montreal to a Haitian mother and Cameroonian father. Since she was young, Niti has been interested in drawing and working with her hands. She studied graphic design at Collège Ahuntsic where she obtained her diploma in 2015, and then went on to study multimedia at the UDEM in 2016. She later took courses in creativity and textile printing in 2019, also at UDEM. Through her artistic practice, Niti explores a variety of mediums, including illustration, animation, graphic design, fashion design, and screen printing.
Niti has participated in and organized exhibitions and workshops throughout her career, and is committed to creating a more inclusive world where everyone feels at home. Niti’s artistic voice is characterized by soft portraits and narratives set in contrasted environments with pastel and vibrant colors. The focus of her works is on the reflection they induce. She believes in the power of art and design to create stories and meaning, and is passionate about representativeness, diversity, kindness, and sharing. She highlights diverse characters who open up and become vulnerable in reassuring environments. These contexts encourage communication, openness, authenticity, as well as self-development and interpersonal relationships.
